Alvis Leonides
Radial Engine
This engine has recently been restored and is used for ground run demonstrations at our regular open days. The Alvis Leonides was first developed in 1936 and was used in a small number of aircraft types including early helicopter types. Our engine was used orginally in a Scottish Aviation Pioneer.
